Pinehurst No. 1 is the original course at the historic Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina, first opened in 1898. Though modest in length at just over 6,000 yards, it offers a classic and enjoyable round with a par of 70. The course was reshaped and unified by Donald Ross in 1901, giving it the strategic bunkering and natural flow that would become hallmarks of his design style. Today, it remains a charming introduction to the Pinehurst experience, blending history with playability.
