The OMNI La Costa North Course is a historically significant and recently enhanced championship golf course. Originally designed by Dick Wilson in 1965, this par-72 course has hosted PGA and LPGA Tour events, including the Tournament of Champions and the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. The 2024 Gil Hanse redesign aimed to make the course more connected to the natural landforms, utilizing native vegetation and strategic bunker placement. The number of bunkers was reduced, but those remaining were distinctly shaped to offer varied challenges. Fairways were widened to provide strategic approach angles, and the course now features six sets of tees, accommodating golfers of all skill levels.
